Thanks for the info Mike, wondering if you guys have plans to sell just the frame? Also, is there any weights on the frame?

however, some may like to know that soon we will have a $599 single pivot FS29er and a 4-bar link at about $699.

    In XL? ;)

Mike, Any plans for additional Moto FS 29ers? Something with around 120mm travel and XL sizes?

It's not. The cable stops on the Moto on top of the top tube will grab your shorts. I hated that on old turners, and few old hardtails. Kona has been using the same routing on the HeiHei since 2008 and it works fine. In fact it's convenient too b/c if you use a dropper post you can route the remote cable by zipping to the cables under the toptube.

I don't like the design personally. I have a Moto Ti 29er myself and love the bike. These new FS models are not very attractive as the Titanium version. If I was going to spend that much I think it's best to go with the hard tail titanium 29er.

    Ti is overrated.

I received a reply from bikes direct:

    - What will the weight of the bikes be for size large? I am interested in both
    models.
    - What type of terrain is this bike made for XC, All mountain, etc...
    - What other bikes geometry closely resembles this 29er? Is there an easy way
to research by utilizing the specs? I recently rode an Epic that I enjoyed much
    more than the stumpjumper...
    - If I pay for the bike now, can I cancel my order before the bike ships? I
would like to reserve this right since I may happen to find another bike before
    July...

    Hello,

    1) We have not received weight spec at this time.

    2) AM/Trail

    3) At this time I do not.

    4) You could cancel an order anytime before shipping.

All of the info we currently have available is listed on the site, Motobecane expects production samples in 2--3 weeks and will be able to provide more info.

    Thanks,
    Chris

I think the cable routing is ugly. I like the entry level price however for 1399. Despite it's hideousness it really is an amazing deal when comparing it to an lbs bike.

plus i have the older flagstaff with non tapered head tube and an older reba with the 39mm offset.

I just put together a sample in the office
    and it weighed 28.1 lbs
this is an xtr / reba level one

the frame work is rather impressive in person
customers who get these bikes will be very happy IMHO

    Hey mike
I am a BD/Motobecane fanboy. I have a rigid Outcast 29 with OnOne carbon, a Fantom Pro 29SL with Pushed Reba, and I want a Moto FS.
Sm, Med, and Lr, BUT NO XL?????? How many Smalls do you think you will sell........seriously.

And to wait a year for a possible XL bike, and a possible frame/fork combo on Bikeisland...whatever.

Anyone know where I can get a KHS Flagstaff or Kona Hei Hei 29er for a good deal, even if just frame??? PM if you do.

Again....fanboy....no XL......disappointed.....nice design and great price.

Anyone know the top tube length compared to a Phantom HT 29er?
