    Best softail under 1500

What is the best bang for buck softail under the 1500 range. might be able to push it untill 2000 but please keep the option under 1500. My current set up is Specialized Hardrock, and looking for an option to upgrade. Thanks. i'm hoping not just some specs but first hand experience with the bikes that you guys recommend.

I bought a 2012 GT sensor 9r Elite in Jan for $1035 shipped. Not the best components (Shimano Deore), but I love the bike and it has been reliable as time.

I think some of the Performance bikes has them on sale for around $1500

Nothing yet, everything seems to be holding up fine. I will say this I have a very light weight Carbon Hardtail with all XO components and Elixir 9 brakes. And the GT I feel just works better with the lower end components. And oddly enough, even with the GT being 11#'s heavier I am actually faster on it.

The one and only thing I have done to my GT, which made it even plusher. Was doing the Ghetto Tubeless, using the 20" tube split in half and Stans Fluid. Works perfectly have about 200 miles on that setup so far and about 500 over all on the bike.
