    Best Seatpost Clamps?

By the end of my rides, my seatpost on my Stumpjumper always seems to have sunk just a bit. It's annoying. Do bolt clamps provide a better grip? Either way, what are best clamps available? I'm thinking of getting the Command Post remote adjust seatpost, so I'm thinking I might as well get a bolt clamp instead of a QR clamp. Right?

thomson makes a super nice bolt-on and DK's are nice as well. The only reason to get a quick release would be if you didn't like the adjustable seatpost and went back to standard. In that case Syntace is probably the best or Salsa is another good option.

Thanks for the tips on good brands. Any particular models from those you recommend?

OP - what size do you need? Generally speaking, bolt-on vs. QR clamps will serve more gooderer. Also, there are no 29er specific clamps, unless you're half Welsh half burro.

Just like what everyone else is saying, Salsa FTW. Also you might want to check to make sure you have the right diameter seatpost clamp.

I have the Syntace on my Stumpjumper. It doesn't slip and it has a plastic scraper type seal that keeps crud from getting down your seat tube. I like it.

If you want to use a QR clamp, I think Salsa makes a nice one. Otherwise, if you just want to use a binder clamp... buy the cheapest one you can find. They all do the same thing.
