    best rims for rock garden

I have an old set of bulls eye hubs w/ ceramic bbs laying around that I want to build up a set of wheels on. These will go on a rigid ss that can't take discs & need a 36h drill pattern. The only quality rim set i've seen that can be found like this are stans 355s, are there some others out there that I should be looking at? These will be mostly used on trails w/ lots of rock gardens so they need to be able to handle some abuse.

There are several, but none as light as the 355's

DT 7.1TK and Mavic A719 are both very durable "Touring" rims but are wide enough to run 2.0" tires and come in 36 hole.

Rhynolite. 36h option, around 27 or 28mm wider, and tough. Not lite, but tough

Kris Holm 48mm rims are 36h, tough, heavy, and can take a rim brake.
