    BBG Bashguard

Hi i bought a Giant XTC 2 29er for a pretty good price new about 2 weeks ago. I have already managed to use the larger chainwheel as a bashguard. I am wondering if i purchase the inner and outside bashguard from BBG if i would still need a chain keeper. Thanks

No guide needed; the "bashwich" would be enough.

However, check to make sure you can actually fit the inner guard on your frame. On many xc hardtails the chainstay is too close and a full size inner guard will rub the frame or not even fit on the bike at all

If your inner doesnt fit you can always go this route. I trimmed a X-1 guide so I could use a BBG. Works flawless.

If the BBG doesn't fit on the inside, this is a bad-ass chain keeper you can run on the inside:
