You have no excuse for driving to work
(unless you don't have studded tires)
    (no excuse for that either)

Thanks...not real practical It's like riding with a kickstand down. But it took some work to get it out of the way of the derailleur, the chain, and the foot, so I'm rather proud of myself. I do like the angle but I'm a little scared to try it on the trail.

I love this ride also. A great view the entire time! Once I kick this cold I'm going to get out and hit some other trails around the island.

This is from last week's race, and my race's start time had temperatures in the mid 40s and the finishing time was in the mid 60s. Granted the 3s and 2s started in even colder temperatures (in the upper 20s for the earliest group) so it could've been worse. This was my first race and something like 7th ride on the new bike (marin rift zone xc8), and it's also my first 29er.

Is that at Waco? If so, I was there and yes... when us cat 2 guys started it was VERY cold. :-)

Here is a pic of me at the STORM Hill Country Challenge race at Flat Rock Ranch last weekend... the bike is a carbon Orbea Alma 29er and unfortunately I DNF'd because I got a double flat! The rocks there are pretty tough and unfortunately I found out the hard way that they are harder than the Racing Ralphs I was running. :-(
