Not exactly sure how I ended up with this bike, I was set on building a Yelli Screamy or getting the Diamondback Mason. I had to sell my BMC SF29 because it was just too big for me. In the end, since I was putting together a WFO (WFO build complete. ), I felt like I didn't need a hard tail version of it. I replaced the stock Stans Rapid wheels with Sun Ringle Charger Expert. It's a great ride, definitely will be a change a pace from the WFO. Comes with a 90mm stem, and the steering might be a tad too quick for me. It climbs great, and is great fun. I would suggest anyone getting into the game to pick up one of these (the low end is $1500). It's heavy (29.03 lbs with the XT pedals). The frame feels well balanced. I've only gotten a couple of rides on it, but I think this is one of those bikes that sticks around while others come and go.
The tires are great, just ran through some mud and dry track yesterday on them. On the Chargers (28mm), they sit wide, even with the 29x2.2 rating.
