    2012 kona hei hei or 2012 GT Sensor 9r Elite

    The GT has more suspension travel, but the Kona has a better brakeset. You can always upgrade components you do not like, so I would suggest the GT as it is a good frame to build on.

    If you plan on spending any money later on, just save up or pony up now. You'll get to enjoy the better components for longer and you don't end up buying parts twice.

    I previously owned the GT 9r Elite and did not like it at all. I knew I would end up throwing a lot of money towards it to get it where I want so I ponied up and got a Superfly 100 Pro, which I wouldn't change anything on even if it was free.

    If you plan to leave it alone, get the Kona.
