2009 specialized rockhopper expert 29er question.

Im almost 100% sure im going to pick up a used 2009 specialized rockhopper expert 29er tomorrow and had a question for all of you. The guy is telling me its a 2009 but when looking on the specialized web site the bike looks a bit different. Did they make two different frames that year? This is going to be my first 29er and for $400 I think im getting a pretty good deal.
Here's a picture from the website and one from the guy thats selling it.

I have to post 5 more times then ill post some pictures.

Look on bikepedia....I think it's a regular 26" RH Comp??? That one came in a grey color.

Definitely not a 29er. The 29er's came in silver (expert), green and black with red graphics (comp).

    if it's a 29 it's definitely worth $400, at least around here.

thats a nice bike, but its not what you thought it was, and it's not worth $400. those run like $275 on craigslist around here.

Discs yeah, but they should be BB5's. Were the hydraulics added by a previous owner?

Specialized Bicycle Components : Rockhopper Expert Disc

Colors off, but maybe the blue color scheme is a test-bike color?

    Specs seem right...

Was a 26... I called to double check it was a 29er and he told me yes... Drove 30miles to his house to find out it was a 26. Should of listened to you guys... I just want a bike bad! I might just go buy a new 2011 gt karakoram 1.0 for 699 at performance.

An easy (not always accurate) way to tell the quality of a stock bike in a picture, is the color of the sanction tubes on the fork. Silver = Not as good as bronze (in most instances).

I'll buy all of those Rockhopper Experts with the tektro hydraulics and air tora fork for $275. I sold the Tora off of mine for $200 after riding it for a couple of years. Pretty solid bike, albeit heavy.
