Tire Update
As the "father" of 650b, can you advise when can we might expect some Pacenti brand bikes/ frames. Like a 140 mm trail bike, 5lbs carbon frame with east coast geo (angles like Solo and Bronson, 67.5* HTA, 73* STA, but higher BB for rocks and roots, like 14").
And specced with those cranks of yours, etc etc.
There are tons of bikes out there, but not sure any are spot on with your vision of the "optimum 650b", if any, of course.
Old enough to know better. And old enough not to care. Best age to be.

I am working on the 3rd revision of the Mega. Panaracer will have the drawings soon.
As for making my own bikes, we've kicked it around a little, but not sure I want to go in that direction.
The Trek's do look really, really good.
Cheers,
KP

It has been in production for a while. It is called Vee Rubber Trail Taker 2.4.

The TT 2.4 is a pretty good tire, but not what I intended it to be. There's a reason it doesn't say "Pacenti" on the sidewall.

I dunno...I converted both a BLT and my current Nickel, and I think they both point to a Blur TR converted being ideal. The BLT was too short in the TT. All have, IMHO, too low of a BB for riding where I live.

Kirk, I see a limited run - say 100 units - of Pennsylvania-made titanium frames with your name on it, and your avatar as the head tube label.

I've got some ideas...

Nice! Btw. my TT has the text "Pacenti" on the sidewall - it is not very visible though.

That's why we need an "east coast" trail bike. I'll take all of SC geo except low bb. Give me 14". The Remedy is close. The Pivots look good as well. But how cool, would an in house Pacenti be?

Edit: Built by who in Pennsylvania?

Would have figured that at this point the Pacenti brand has enough clout and value that somebody would capitalise a bike venture. But have no clue how the industry works.
The Pacenti brand could be the Niner of 650b
No? Up my meds?
