    Synergy 650b & Stan's

Has anyone successfully done the Stan conversion with the Synergy rim?? I need a rim brake compatible rim for this use, and the synergy has been OK, but I have had a ton of flats due to thorns this year and would love to go the Stan's route! If someone has a thought about a better rim for this, I'm open to rebuilding the wheel.

I recommend against any Velocity rim being run tubeless with a Neo at this point. We've used the Synergy, Blunt, and Stan's 355 rims at our shop. The fit at the bead on both the Blunt and Synergy is too loose to run tubeless safely. Even with the alleged upsized versions of the Synergy and Blunt that we received, I wouldn't run them tubeless under any circumstances. They are good rims otherwise, and they work well with a tube.
