Return of the Rockshox Pike, 35mm stanchions, 140-160mm travel, 15QR, $1085 msrp.
new SRAM carbon wheels too?
I'm super stoked!.... yet bummed that Rock Shox appears to be heading the way of Fox on pricing.
Edit: after a little more reading....Wow. A lot going on with the new design... maybe the price is justified.

Yeah, 650 carbon wheels from SRAM. Not sure if they are out of the oven yet.
I'm pretty stoked on the new fork. It looks really dialed. They went with a bladder-style like the FIT damper albeit maybe a bit cleaner to deal with.
I was a big fan of the RCT3 damper on the Revelation and this seems like the next evolution of that. Despite RockShox's stated intent of dumbing down their dampers, they clearly meant that only for down-market product.
The price is high, to be sure, but this is a small-volume product unlike Sektor and those other OEM-based forks. The Lyrik is such a wonderful fork. The 35mm chassis has shown to be very robust and it feels great.
I'll be ordering a 275/650 version of this shortly (as soon as I order a new frame).
In other news, Norco is out of 650 frames until the MY14 stuff comes in sometime in July. Reports from the field indicate that they lost over $500k in potential sales because they couldn't deliver. And they have very few dealers...
TrailWerks Suspension Service
Art's has them listed now too, with listed arrival date June 1. Still not sure I'm ready for a thousand dollar fork.
