    Redline Monocog Flight 26 - 650b

My RL Monocog Flight 26 has seen a few reincarnations: SS, full 650b, but my favorite is 26" rear with a 650b front (helps slacken the head angle) and 1x9 gearing.

    New question here.

So how about a ride report, 26 stock vs 650B/26er:

Too bad RL doesn't show the 26er Monocog on the website anymore!

I have the same year MCF too! OMG!

I could fit a 2.1 Nev on a synergy rim in the back, with the sliders towards the back of the slot. Didn't love the handling with the longer wheelbase, higher bb, etc. I did ride a bit with the 650b in the front over the summer and I really like it. At least try the B6.

I rode a WTB Laser Rim with a 2.1 Nevegal in the rear (sliding dropouts pushed all the way to the back). It rode well as a full 650b, as you would imagine...between a 26 and 29. The biggest benefit for me, as I often felt the head angle was too steep, came from the bigger A2C of the fork plus the 26 rear/650b front. The bike is more "trail" aggressive and confident while retaining all of its playfulness.

    @ glidenj

May I ask what Dropout/ Hanger you are using?
I want to set mine up as a 1x9 as well.
    Thank you!

Might that fork handle a 2.8 tire?
In the early 650b conversion days, b6er had that Goldilocks affect for my Whip. When I added 650b out back, shortly thereafter I went with a shorter shock to get the Geo and bb back to bueno.
Never was left wanting for what the industry eventually released.
