Dunno about you, but I'm stocking up. my old Stan's 355 rims have seen better days.

Timely post, brother. I am tempted to pull the trigger on a new set of Nox 650b carbon rims. They're having a pre-sale until tomorrow: $399/rim. They look like a quality carbon rim at a less than stratospheric price, but still....that's a lot of clams for a coupla rims.
Now you tell me this. $400/rim or $50/rim for a 650b TL 28. I know, carbon vs aluminum, but still....I could do a lot with the $700 I'd save by buying the Pacentis!

Well, that didn't take long to ponder. Bought a pair of the TL28's for $108, including shipping. Big thanks for the PSA, Jeremy!
These will be part of an as-yet unbuilt 650b hardtail with trail geometry. Stoked!
BTW, I already own a set of these rims. No complaints. Although they didn't set up tubeless as easily as Stan's ZTR's in my experience, I did use non-tubeless-ready tires. By comparison to the ZTR Arch EX, these are 2 mm wider internally, same weight, and have eyelets. Seems hard to go wrong IMO.

Awesome! Glad I was able to help! You'll get your carbon hoops eventually.

So the general consensus is they are good rims? The TL28s are tempting and the price is decent. Anyone want to school me on their reputation (not Kirk's)?

I was looking at the Nox rims also but once I came across this post I jumped on two TL28s in 650b. Sweet deal.
