Out of the game need a new bike

Long story short I've been out of the game for about 3 years due to medical reasons but have been cleared and am looking for a new bike. Technology has changed a lot since I last rode...as well as the prices!

    Terrain I ride:
Well I live in the front range of Colorado but never ridden here. I last rode while I was living in Texas and rode what few downs I could find lots of rocks not afraid of medium jumps drops and gaps.

    What I've rode:
Most recent Santa Cruz Heckler loved this bike only got to ride it a few times before got taken out of the game and had to sell it.

Ragley Mmmbop fun hard tail felt like I got my butt kicked in the rocks.

Old specialized pitch comp full suspension. Fun to ride down good control in the rocks. Hated to pedal the thing on flat or up.

What I'm looking for: price range ($1500)
Don't mind a hard tail would prefer full suspension but at my price range probably not going to happen.

Looking at: (in order of interest)
    2018 Nukeproof Scout 275 race
    2018 Trek Roscoe
2018 Specialized Camber - not so good reviews
2017 Ghost keto fs3 - didn't like the rear suspension feel.

Looking for any input I can get or even some bikes I may have over looked. Don't want to have to do any major part swaps besides a dropper post.

Out of the game need a new bike

Veloswap in Denver is this weekend. Prolly a good place to look for a good deal on a used full suspension.

If you’re looking for an entry level full-suspension new, take a look at giant. That might be the best you can do at that price point.

In your price range for a FS bike, take a look at the Marin Hawk Hill or the Diamondback Release.
