I cant tell you which, but I have put several hundred miles on my hh2. It's a bargain and I'm having a blast riding again. Have upgraded to gripshift and 30th front cog. Otherwise all smiles. Good luck ,ride happy. Orin

These are completely different bikes. I would talk to your lbs about the application.

I have never riden the Hawk Hill, but I will say Iím very happy with my Diamondback Mission 1... For what itís worth.

I agree with the other posters. They are very different bikes, just based on the travel.

If you are absolutely sure what size fits you, go for the Diamondback. The Marin is nice for the price and you get the support of a bike shop, which is essential for a first time buyer and a ton of help even if you've been riding for a while.

However, the Mission 1 is bomber and the sheer spec on the bike makes it a no-brainer. I ride Auburn, Rockville and put in a couple trips to Santa Cruz and socal every year and the Mission would be awesome for that.

Plus, the mission is enough travel to take anywhere. It won't climb particularly well and you won't be able to keep up with downhill bikes, but it is capable of riding everything, whereas the Hawk Hill will suffer if you decide to do some park riding.

My last bike was a DB V-8, still works great . If their bike feels good, get it. Whatever works for your riding style. I am in love with my HH2 cant lie.🤔

The db release is probably better than both.

The Alpine Trail 7 is probably a more comparable bike.

Well , I hope it would be better than a 98 v-8, but the weight difference is large. All the new stuff is better, just bigger and heavier. Unless you can afford it. Just buy what you can and ride😎
