ok what is a 650b , 96er or a b9 ? ive got the 69 figured out . thanks for helping a newbi
96er is really the same as the 69er.

A 650b is a pretty new system that was brought about by Kirk Pacenti, he posts here quite often. 650b is basically between 26'' and 29''. 650b = 27.5''. It is catching on because the 650b wheel fits some 26'' wheel frames. This is a bonus for racers, because it gets the faster rolling of a 29er, but in the stiffer 26'' frame. 26'' frames are stiffer because they have shorter chain stays, which means more power is translated directly from the crank, back to the cassette. 650b has the turning radius, and quick acceleration of a 26'', but rolls and goes over stuff like a 29er. Once again, this is why this wheel size is great for racers.
