That's a great result for those guys. I have to imagine that they would have enjoyed some advantage on the high-speed section of that course. And the great contact patch in all that super-loose moon dust.
275 dh from KHS available in 2014 (or 2014 model later this year, whatever).
Have you noticed the tendency of 26 dual ply tires to just stop accelerating? There are a few places where I ride dh with some open, fast sections. Those heavy tires get up to speed and just hit a wall. It's noticeable. When I switched to single-ply (DHF-ust to DHF exo, same size) I noticed a higher top speed on the same section of course the same day (and I flew further with less effort on a big step up off a fire road).
I think it makes sense that going to 275 single ply from 26 single ply would provide another bit of top speed. Thoughts?
