    Another 650b Nickel

So I've been riding this bike for awhile. I bought the frame around december during the SC sale on these. I rode it with 26" wheels for awhile and thought it was a great bike as a 26 but I wanted to try some 650b wheels so I had some Pacenti TL28 laced to hadleys, and I went with the 2.1 Neomotos.

I can definatley notice the better rollover in rough rocky terrain. My local trails are pretty gnarly with lots of heavy rock gardens and the larger wheels help with that. The Neomotos have alot more traction than I am used to - coming from maxxis crossmarks. I enjoy the traction in the turns and its helpfull in the rear for powering over things, however on longer rides (20+ miles) I cant definately tell this setup takes more energy to roll.
    Other highlights:
-I recently went 1x9 with a 30t wolftooth and a zee RD, I'm really liking this setup, super quite.
    - hadley hubs with a bolt on thru axel, man i really love the stiffness.

yeah, im still riding it once or twice per week. I've made some stem/bar/saddle changes, but other than that's its pretty much the same. I'm slightly wishing I had gone Chris King on the hubs instead of Hadley. I love the hubs, but they are a little too noisy I think. I took them apart and added extra grease to quite them but that seeps out within a few rides. The clutch on the Zee RD doesn't seem be working anymore but I've only ever had 2 chain drops since I built the bike. I really like the Wolf tooth, but there are cheaper options now. If it ever wears out I would probably get the new race face ring. I've never had to true the wheels, they have been really strong, props to Chad at Red Barn Bikes. I love the nickel geometry. The pivot bearings are starting to wear out, I ordered new ones today, will probably replace them in a month or so.
