2.1 650b tire with strong sidewalls?

    Hi Guys,

I'm having trouble finding the right tire. Lately I've gashed the sidewall of a Nevegal and a Neo-Moto on some sharp rocks.

I'm running tubeless on Stans ZTR Flows and I'm limited to 2.1 due to clearance on the rear.

I bought a Schwalbe Nobby Nic 2.3 which looks bomber enough but is too wide.

    Anybody have any ideas?

I think this is when you have to ask yourself if, due to clearance you can only run a small volume narrow tread 650b tire, are you actually realizing any of the advantages of 650b when compared to the high volume, wide tread 26" tire that would fit your bike? I would rather run a normal/fat 26" tire (2.3+) than a skinny 650b. But given equal size/volume, would rather run the 650b hands down.

I would put the XMrk similar to the other 2 you've been using, if not a thinner sw. I personally have all 3. If you're looking at the NN, what about a FireXC? Those are on the smaller side of things but have an agressive tread and a decent sidewall. On aFlow it may straighten up the profile and keep the sidewall a little less vunerable.
Wait whuuut, who did he tell you that!?!?....
