What's the best 650b frame out currently? The do-it-all.

What's the best full suspension 650b frame currently out? The do-it-all so to speak, something that does well in climbs, on trails and going down.

    ----

I currently own a Cannondale Scalpel which I'm very fond of, but seeing as it's a short travel XC oriented bike it has some drawbacks in rougher terrain. Feeling like you're a freshly released pinball can be unwanted at times. It can fit 650b wheels, but some times I don't feel it has enough travel to go where I want it to.

A lot of good choices out there, depends on what kind of travel you want, IBIS HDR, Bronson, Solo and the Mach 6 are all stellar choices.

Best for what, and for whom?
Not enough information provided for any meaningful reply, IMO.
    Body type?
    Riding style?
    Geometry preferences?
    Suspension preferences?
    Adjustable travel/geo, or static?
    You get the point here....

I just did a bunch of research and riding and for my needs the Giant Trance won out over the Rocky Mountain Altitude by a whisker in the final test-ride. But that's for a bike I wanted. Not sure what you're looking for and if it's the right bike for you but if you want a 140-ish mm travel full squish it's worth a test ride IMO.

that's cool, Chris, funny thing....all of my research (and test rides) led me to the Altitude (but mostly because I needed the bike in April. I got to ride both back to back at the Wydaho Rendezvous, and I still LOVE MY Altitude!

It was a really close call for me between the Altitude and Trance. Almost an "eenie, meenie, miney, moe" kinda choice. At my price range the Trance was a bit better equipped and I found the rear end to have a shade less pedal bob.

Cube stereo 27.5 is my new toy. Switched from an enduro 29er after demoing one. Pretty sweet bike if you can get your hands on one...
