    too short for 69'er?

i am intrigued by the single speed trek 69'er, but i think i might be too short to ride it. i am 5'6" and ride a 15" scott scale right now. i know trek makes a 15.5" bike; anybody my height ridden a 69'er? am i too short? any help will be appreciated.

Standover is kinda high on the Treks, but I've never noticed it to be an issue at all. Measure the Effective Top Tube on your Scale and see how it compares to the spec on the Trek site. That's the main thing you need to worry about. If you like your bars very low, you might not be able to get them as low with the 29er front end.

My 5' 5" wife is loving her 15.5" Top Fuel 69'er. She was on a 16" WSD Fuel before that.
I proudly ride for these guys.

I'm 5'7" - converted a 17.5 Gary Fisher Aquila from the mid 90s to a 69er. Its one sweet handling bike! Don't let it stop you! You're not height-challenged and I ride a 29er too! GO FOR IT!
