Maybe on a custom fab bases but I don't believe anything would be commercial.

they are in production right now. in fact, they are actually lighter than 'traditional' (hah!) fatty tires in comparable widths and tread. I saw some great ones a few weeks ago at the Fat Bike Advocacy Summit.

Thanks for the teaser! Can you share more details? Brand? ETA? I could definitely use some 650b studs right now 'cause we've had a freeze/thaw pattern that's turned all the fat-bikeable snowy trails into skating rinks...

not 650 studs, 26" Fat Bike studded. 3.5" width.
But I am sure someone is cad-ding up a mold for a 650 option.

Fat bikes will go Full Suspension next iteration. Not really a need for 650b as the 26 with 4.0 tires is close to the same diameter.

The inherent problem with full suss on a Fat is the operating tire pressures, which with 4.0" can be 4-10 or so PSI. In order to get the suspension to move, it has to be so low pressure or undersprung as to be a hinderance while pedaling.
'Platform' can only go so far when you would be bottoming on the rime before a shock could effectively react, IMO.
But there are definitely folks working on it!

I did see a pic of the immediate Fat future yesterday, a 24 pound all carbon Beargrease, with studs. XX1 drivetrain. This puts it into the weight of a bike that one can/would ride all year, given certain conditions. Would actually make riding Poison Spider tolerable....
