    Pink Bike wheel size comparison

    Opinion: 26 vs 27.5 vs 29-inch Wheels - Pinkbike

I only use 650b in really loose conditions as I see the extra cornering traction and stability is where the advantage is. Most Bike mag comparisons appear to be based on rollover. The trail they rode seems biased towards rollover rather than cornering traction. On those trails I'd come to the same conclusion that they did. Stick with 26" or 29", which is what I do most of the time.

Have you noticed how long the wheelbases of 26" bikes have grown lately. How does that make them corner better or more flickable? My 2011 Jamis 650b has a wheelbase which is shorter by almost 2" than the 2013 Trek 5" 26" trail bike. I'm not a professional forum agitator like you , but how does a longer wheelbase make a bike better in switchbikes.
