My new converted 650B "road bike"

This is a 98 Dekerf Team SL MTB frame converted to 650B wheels as a randonnuer bike. This is probably the most creative project I have undertaken. First there was spray painting the fork which I had custom made by Walt Works last year as a 96er V-Brake setup. I had never painted anything before, and it came out much better than expected. I had to add two Problem Solver components first for the bottom pull Campy F derailler, I added a jockey pulley to work with the top pull routing. Then a V-brake to Canti pull contraption to allow lever and brake to be happy together. Rivendell Silver barcons and Campy Champ Deraillers round out the drivetrain. I also picked up a rare 48cm Nitto Noodle bar, really comfy! The Crank is a Rhino, Dean house brand back on the day, I've had on various bikes for a long time and the 26/36/46 tooth rings are a perfect match. The bars still don't feel high enough for my picky tastes despite a adjustable Ritchey stem. Can't forget the rear brake, it is a Vuelta V-brake for BMX racing, which is designed to adjust up for those funky odd 20" 3/8" junior racing rims. They worked perfectly for this App, a good thing to keep in mind for people looking to convert their own 26" frames to 650B. Its too cold to really put down any enjoyable miles here in VA, I hope for a warm spell soon! And finally my Girl posing as Vanna White.

    Cheers
