    mongoose Ti / titanium Masif pro 650b build

    Frame: 20" Mongoose Pro Massif (01 or 02)

    Fork:Rockshox Sid XC fork

    Wheelset: Weinmann Discovery rims laced to shimano hubs.
    (Vee Rubber Mission 2.1 Rear, Pacenti Neo-Moto 2.3 Front)

    Crank: Stylo 3 ring

    Shimano Hydraulic Disc Front
    Shimano Deore V-Brake rear
    XT rear derailleur
    LX front derailleur
    Deore Shifters

    Kore Seatpost, Stem, Handlebar (possibly Ti?)

    650b? did they make these way back then? why did you cut the pic of the tire size off?

    This one makes me wonder if I could fit some 650b's on my Dean Duke, which is now my backup bike.
    Rear disc + V's? I guess it was just for measuring purposes, since it seems to be lacking the caliper.

    I thought I read that the Duke was a no go somewhere. If you have some 650bs around, why not try and let us know?

    I actually can't figure out how to get the center lock disc brakes off. The V-brakes are adjustable and fit fine over the discovery rims (which as noted elsewhere, have a good braking surface)...I find this set-up to be fine..wondering if people think of this as "ghetto-rigging"?
