Actually Specialized is held 51% by Mike Sinyard and 49% by Merida, and Merida doesn't sell in the USA as a result of their part-ownership of Specialized.

I'm anxious to see this. I'm hoping that there are gonna be atleast a few companies doing some racier geometry'd hardtails in 650/27.5. Seems most of what is out there HT wise, is all-mountain. Nothing wrong with that, just want to see some faster, shorter travel rigs.

Looks like a short-ish travel, black XC fork from RockShox as well!

RS announced a 650b SID (almost certainly pictured) and REBA months ago.

Hopefully, Maxxis will be obliged to make some ikons and/or aspens for the racers. Ardents are nice, but not super fast for XC.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sinyard is trying to patent the 650b wheel size and block anyone else from selling them in the States.

If so, it's the first 650b SID that I have seen outside of a trade show.

Merida is pretty big here in Oz, they make a top quality bike that could stand along side any other brand on the market.
