Loaded USA 650B/27.5 XLite Wheel Set

Thought I would let you guys see the new Loaded USA XLite 650B/27.5 Wheel set. They are 1741 grams on the scale. I have some Continental X-King 27.5s setup Tubeless on them. Can't wait to get them out on the trail.

    Few Pics:

I have been riding Loaded wheels for 2 years now and have had no complaints at all. I will give you some feedback soon as I get some rides on them.

Are the rims carbon? I know Loaded has some carbon wheels. The weight that you posted seems heavy fo carbon, but it looks almost like a faint carbon weave in the pictures

The hubs are not loud at all. I think a lot of people want loud hubs to sound all cool on the trail, but I like a silent bike. Only hear the tires rolling on the ground.

As for Carbon Loaded wheels, you will not see any yet in 2013. They are still working to find a good Carbon rim that will hold up to their standards.

Loaded USA 650B/27.5 XLite Wheel Set

I was looking for a set of there signature AMXC all mountain 650b rims.

I emailed loaded about them and they told me that won't be making them but they could string up the x-lite 650b rims with straight spokes and they would be my stronger.

I am 285 so I need all the strength I can get.

I'm thinking you'll have as many inquires on the Conty's as the rims. Are those proto tyres or in production?

    Thanks in advance.
Wait, who did he tell you that?....

Yes, the X-Kings are Prototypes at the moment. You guys should see them soon. Hope to be testing some 27.5 Trail Kings in a month or two.

I will start a new thread on the Contys with pictures soon.

Loaded had some 26" and 29" carbon wheels at Interbike, never got a chance to ask them about carbon 27.5's. I would think that if they have 26 and 29" carbon rims in production, that they found a rim that would work.

Wow that be great. Can you elaborate on sizes they will offer if it's not too early and covert?

    Thanks in advance-JMac

The plan is to offer both XKing and Trail King in 2.2 and 2.4. I have the 2.4 XKings now. The XKings will be released first then follow the Trail Kings.

Great. Continental busting out with some high(er) volume meats! Might not work on my converted HT's, but may have to check them out for my Bastardo.

I would be to curious as to how well these wheels are holding up. How do they feel in overall stiffness and durability?

    Thanks.

I am surprised how well this light wheelset has held up. They are stiff and feel great hitting the berms hard. I have been running a 2.4" tire on them and have had a few days at the park running DH runs. Still running strong!
