    Jamis Dakar 650b 2012 vs 2013

    Hello all,

Is there enough difference in the 2013 model pro or comp to pay $500 more for the comp or $1,000 for the pro. Assuming I can still find last years model.

    Thanks,

I have a 2011 B2 (Pro) and it is a great bike. If you can afford to upgrade to the Pro do it, the XO group set is worth the extra money. I also had a chance to demo a 2013 Pro and the new frame design is much better then the current frame. It also has a better fork and shock.

I can't afford the 2013 pro so I would have to look for a 2012 Pro or a 2013 comp. I rode the 2013 Pro today and it is a sweet bike for sure.

I would go with the 2012 pro if you can't afford to 2013.

I rode and loved the Pro, but it was out of my budget too. So I've ordered the Comp, because I figure that as 650B grows, the components can only get better, and in a couple of years I can look at upgrades.
Even the guys from Jamis said that the 2013 is a way better bike than the 2012.

I decided to keep riding the bike I have for now. We'll see how it goes at the end of the year, but the 2013 is the way to go. Enjoy your new bike which I know you will.

Well this a little late, but I wound up getting a 2013 pro. It was a shops demo but it was slightly used and looks new.
