indy fab 650b set up thread

ok, i got a indy fab frame with 425mm CS and 25" ETT (i am 6.2"), reba u-turn 29er fork to play around with a-c or maverick duc32 set up for 650b. i am mostly riding technical singletrails.

i will need to decide what set up i want to use on it. i can run a smaller 29er tire in the rear (racing ralphs 2.25 clear but barely, a conti race king 2.2 fits well). i have a 650b wheelset with blunts and neo motos 2.35 or various 29er options.

i will try out the different set ups during the next weeks and share the impressions.

to get started, here some pics of the 650b set up. and no, i will not clean the bike before making pics - not worth it considering my iphone level photographic skills anyhow .

    Looks great with dual 650bs!

wouldn't a 29er combo raise the bottom bracket height to uncomfortable heights?

    good point.

the geometry is been set for a 520mm A-C fork with 130mm travel and fairly high bottom bracket drop (BB height is actually similar to my a9c with carbon fork). i guess this is more of an AM hardtail ...

i should be perfectly fine with 29er front or even 29er f&r, but will see in a couple of days.

It's a HT and bigger wheel will take an edge off obstacles. It it can be made into a 29er, just do it.

It would be neat if you could go back and forth between the two wheel sizes, and compare.
