Quality 650b rims are hard to find. Your probably going to have to buy a 32 hole hub. 24/28 hole 650b rims are just not out there.

    Synergy

The Velocity Synergy rim is available in 28 hole. You can probably order them direct.

    Cheers,

i don't know if it's a good idea, but you can find some hints on mismatched hubs/rims on the net ... at the end of the day, it looks like building the wheel will be tricky, so it probably isn't worth it ...

You might be able to drill an extra 12 holes in the drive side flange, find a 36h rim with centerline spoke holes and build with twice as many spokes on the drive side.

    or get a new hub.

How about now" 650s are a lot more popular. I have a nice set 29 wheelset. I was hoping to build a 29er, SS.but got a 26 frame that is 650B friendly. Wheels i have are 24 spoke, i want to rebuild them as 650Bs.

E13/ Hive will be producing 650B rims with a 24H option. I already have some hubs waiting for their release. Expected to be around April 2013.

Rocky Mountain's 'House' (wheeltech) wheels for the Altitude 970 and 950 are being spec'ed with a 24 hole front hub and rim, so they are out there.

Most of the "cheap" carbon rims from the chinese suppliers such as Light Bicycle can be produced with holes of your choice 18 to 36.
I have a similar issue as yourself but need 36 hole to match my hubs.
