    Does 27.5 need a different frame?

    I was thinking about building a 27.5 single speed and was wondering if I buy a frame that was made for 26" wheels will the 27.5 wheels fit or when people are building them are they buying frames made for them? Or do they tend to use 29er frames?

    Some 26" frames will convert, some won't. Why do not you shop for dedicated 650b frames? There are a few good choices available now. Converting a 29" is not a good idea, too low BB, too steep HA and too long stays are the most frequently cited arguments.

    I have personally used Motobecane Super Fly, VooDoo Bizango and presently a Sette Reken 26" frame running 1-2-3x gears/SS with 650's. I know the Salsa steel HT works aswell.

    In here is a list of compatible frames users have converted:
