Well....I wish they'd hurry up. Hasn't it been close to a year already since the first spy shots surfaced? They need to Scheiss or get off the pot already, so to speak.

Here was my coverage of the Conti Tires: MTBR.com => Continental 27.5" Tires - Sea Otter 2013

Update: I stuck my prototype pair of Trail King 2.4 x 27.5" tires on a Pacenti DL31 at 30psi, and the carcass measured at 2.42" and the height was a massive 27 7/8 - 27 15/16", so it beats the previous champion, the Schwalbe 2.35 NN. It was so huge, that it didn't even fit into the back of my Mojo HD.

The Conti TK comes pretty true to size, so I would assume right at 2.2"

Had the displeasure of trying the Conti X-King 2.4 Protection in Black Chilli on a RM Altitude. Binned them after one ride. They perform as badly in roots and wet as the 2.2 variants in 29er size

I was never a fan of the X-King nor Race King.

Nice. Weight (claimed) looks good and pattern looks promising for a front tire on my trails. I like my Crossmark eXC as a rear tire. Not as front. The MWG2 could be the combo.

I think they have the weight of the Grip'r wrong, the claimed weight seems to be for 26" size. Michelin site says the 650b Advanced Grip'r 2.25 is 780g.

To be fair, I know quite a few people who like the X-king and/or Race King as rear tires.

I did have a 29" 2.2 X-King briefly as on the front of my 29/650b HT and switched it out to something meatier.
