    Chromag Sakura 650B

    Hi

Anyone allready tried if a Chromag Sakura frame is 650b compatible?

Before I buy a new 650B wheelset.. I would like to know if it's going to fit.
In my area you need to custom build a 650B wheelset.. so no options for me give it a try first

    Thanks

650b fits a Stylus (that we know). Not sure on the Sakura (but if they have the same chainstay/seatstay design and width/length then there's your answer.

Stylus frame is designed for tire widths up to 2.7
Sakura max tire witdh is 2.35

So that's not going to help me

Nope - just figured I'd throw it out there. I don't know a ton about the Chromag frame lineup. Sorry.

No didn't get any reply from Chromag on this topic.. normally they respond within a few days on e-mail. And to be honest I didn't remind them either on my e-mail.

At the moment I find 650B wheels still to expensive.. I wait untill they pop-up on the secondhand market.. and then I will give it a try

Right now the toughest 650B wheel available is the Enve All Mountain. Welcome to Enve Composites

Here is my Sakura with 650b front wheel.

I tried to place the front wheel in the back briefly.. and it looks like it going to fit.I need to meassure exactly if a 650B rear wheel will fit.. without tire-rub.. because there isn't much room left.

So at first you said it fits in the Sakura but now you're not sure?
I hate 650b because it's not as fun as 26 inch wheels and because it doesn't have the rollover ability of 29 inch wheels.

I only have a 650B front wheel a the moment.. and with that wheel I checked if a 650B rearwheel would fit... Conclusion: it fit's but it's a tight fit.. not much room around the tire at the chainstay... I need to test ride first to see if it would work in reallife.. because I don't want to get to much tire-rub on the chainstay

    Chromag Sakura 650B rearwheel

I took some pictures of my small sakura with a 650b "rear"wheel.
What I did was just installing my 650b front wheel in the back to see if it would fit. As you can see it fit's with minimal room around the tire. I expect a lot of tire-rub on the chainstay

For the one who might interest.. 650B rearwheel sin't goining to work in reallife.. I'm back to 26inch agina and I couldn't be happier.

Might be a touch tight. I know ian has said the old samurai, trl, and some of these other frames wont fit a 650b or dont fit them well, but my tape measure says one will fit in my samurai. I wish someone could post photos so i dont have to find a set or buy one.
