    Carmela's 650b Sette Reken

Based upon a question I posted here, I built up a 14" Sette Reken 650b bike for my wife. Thanks for the advice and inspiration, it came out great. There was a little bit of rub on the chainstays from the spiky nubs found on new tires, I used a dremel to knock 2mm of each side knob and now it fits great.

    Frame: 14" Sette Reken
    Fork: Fox F100 26"
Wheels: Sun Ringle Dirty Flea Hubs / Sun Ringle Inferno 25 Rims.
    Tires: Pacenti Neo Moto 2.3
    Drivetrain: Shimano SLX (3 x 10)
    Brakes: Shimano SLX
    Headset: Cane Creek 40
    Stem: Salsa Cro Moto 80mm
Handlebar: Niner Flat Bar (9 degree)
    Grips: ESI Chunky
    Seatpost: RaceFace Ride
    Saddle: Terry Liberator Race

Why not run a 2.1 in the back? You probably wouldn't have to shave it.

A little more volume in the back always helps with an alloy HT frame. Also nothin' wrong with shaving the side knobs down on a rear tire, as only the fastest riders will need them in the back.

    Couple of reasons.

I like bigger tires and the Neo Moto 2.3 tires are what I had ordered for the build. If I could have purchased a smaller tire locally, I might have switched.

I like to think that I have one of the first Neo Moto 2.2s.

I built my 650B Reken as an Urban/Commuter with some boat anchor Weinmann take off wheels from a KHS and a rigid fork. I wasn't really happy with it in that capacity so I replaced it with a Razzo. Seeing this thread has motivated me to find a Fox fork, get some Stan's Flows and use it as a back up/spare/friend XC bike.

    Bump: BB height?
Hey, would you mind taking a BB height measurement from the floor to the center of the spindle? Very curious.
    Thanks much.

    I call Lurker!

No not mine, but may order a frame to replace my aging Motobecane. I had seen the pic of someones converted Reken while researching them in another thread and liked the bb height with the 650's, then ran across your old question and saw it wasn't answered (how rude...).

So may be an inexpensive SS 650B Reken build for me in the future. It will go along with my inexpensive alum Razzo I built with spare parts abit ago.
