Got my Bronson on Saturday. Still have to swap my parts over, XTR cranks (36-26), XTR Shadow plays rear derailleur, shifters and brakes. Didn't want to mess with all that stuff this weekend, just wanted to get out for a ride. So I just put on my Renthal stem and bars.Gonna ditch the chain guide too. No need for that with a front derailleur and Shadow plus derailleur. Definitely need to get the 36 tooth star ratchet for the DT Swiss hubs too. Engagement sucks on these hubs stock.
Didn't get out for too long on Sunday and it was my first ride of the season but initial reports are good. I'm coming off a Trek Remedy. The Bronson isn't quite as active but so far I'm really liking it. The larger wheel size is instantly noticeable in rooty sections that previously gave me troubles. Can't give a full ride report as I was too busy sucking wind most of the time to really take notice of much else.
