    Anyone buying a new HT?

I have a 29er HT I really like, and I may keep that and add a 27.5 FS. But I don't remember seeing many (any?) posts about people riding 27.5 HTs. Is there a thread started like this already?

Plenty of people riding an On-One 456 set up with 650b wheels. Not sure about others

Many options, and lots coming for 2014. A sampling:
Marin Rocky Ridge, Scott Scale(s), Raleigh Tokul(s) and Eva(s), Kona Explosiv, Surly Instigator, Foundry Tomahawk, Jamis Dragon(s), Novara Ponderosa, and the list goes on.

FWIW, I am riding an original Surly Instigator set as 650b with an old school Pike fork set at 140mm. BB is a little high, but it is smooth riding.

I know that they are coming, I was wondering who's going to be riding them, and from what bike are they coming kind of thing. I think the Giant XTC looks pretty good. I'm just wondering if I would like it more than the 29er HT I already have and like. Lighter would be good, nimble would be good, slacker would be good. I don't know if the frames out there would give me those things.

That looks really nice. Is that your main ride now? How tall are you? What size seatpost? Ever since I started using a dropper post I have to have one...

Would love to see pictures! Why do you love it, what other bikes do you own, and what bike did you use before getting it?

Nice! Are you riding it rigid or with suspension? I let mine got because I didn't like 650B rigid over 29er rigid. But lately I'm back to HT riding, and wondering if 650B might be back on the table. Post picts!

Currently riding it with a Fox 80mm fork and geared. But in winter I like to ride it singlespeed and rigid. I had a Pace 445mm carbon fork on it which I ran with a King extended race on it and will dig up a 465-470mm fork for it. Mark Slate revised the hanger so that it's held by screws instead of pins and it works well. I also run it with 700c cyclocross wheels. Very versatile. I'll post pics when I get a chance.

I switched from fs yeti asr. Really like that the bike felt similar through all the twisty sections. Love the acceleration, ability to carry speed and how well the bike climbs. The wheels get up to speed fast which is nice coming out of corners and going up steep short climbs. Giant did a nice job with the carbon frame making it compliant so I am not getting killed in the roots.

    My Racing, Riding, awesome hardtail

    Anyone buying a new HT?-imag1433.jpg

Jamis Nemesis Alloy, 2013. Fantastic bike. 1x10 with a 32 tooth Race Face ring. I have no issues whatsoever. It's fast, light, and handles tech fantastically.

Used it in the 2013 USAT Offroad Nationals triathlon recently.

I just built up a Lynskey Pro650 HT. It eats up the trails.

Not sure, I have never had a giant 26" bike. There are a bunch of posts about bikes that were converted. Most likely you could replace the front the front wheel with a 27.5, it's the rear that might be an issue.

I rode a Kona Explosif and now I'm riding a Chromag Samurai 65. Hardtails are awesome.
