    650b noob question

Go easy on me but here it is...

Can you fit in a 29'er fork and front wheel on a 650b bike?

Purpose is I want the obstacle clearing capability of the 29 front wheel but I want the faster sprint of the 650b rear wheel and drivetrain.

I guess the same question goes for a 650b fork and front wheel on a 26'er bike.

Yes, it is possible, people have been working on these "frankin-bikes" for a while now. The main thing is to not mess the geometry up too much. Sometimes it helps the geometry.

I personally have taken my Turner 5 Spot (TNT/Horst Link vintage) and added the 650B wheel up front and keeping the 26" wheel rear. I am loving it.

Good luck with that idea, mine took some time and experimentation but I love the set up now.

Great. Now the follow up questions:

Did you change forks with that Turner set up?

    Would a 29'er front wheel fit a 650b fork (ergo a 650b front wheel a 26'er fork)?
