    26in tubes in a 650b?

Is this a good option or should I always try to use a 650b tube when possible? Just want to verify. Thanks!

    Good job!

Hi 26" tube's will work great in any 650B tyre's.
I used 26" tube's in 29"er's for year when there where very few 29"er's made.
    Go for it.

    easy fit

I'm running Maxxis 26" flyweight 1.95-2,125 (95g) in my wheels with 2.0-2.1 Kenda tires. No issues at all but I bet they are pretty thin (0.45mm in 26" size) lol.
A lot lighter than a standard 650b tube.

For 7 years I used lightweight Maxxix 26 tubes (~125g) on my 29er. Never had a problem. If you use a good quality tube you'll be fine.

I usually run 26" tubes but make sure the tube doesn't go under the tire bead or it will take the tire right off the rim. I was airing up one of my first conversions, using an air compressor , filling full steam ahead. Got just over 20 psi and I saw the tire bead coming up / off rim and the tube starting to poke out. Before I could even put the tire inflator down the tire was un-beading and more tube was coming out then BLAM tube popped ringing my ears. I now always inflate slowly making the sure the bead stays over the tube. I will say I have had a couple close calls if I was rushing. That said all my future tube purchases will be tire size specific.

Go tubeless. My tubes just sit in the bottom of my camelback now. Can't tell you last time I got a flat.

That's where I would like to be eventually! I just wonder if tubeless issues are worth it...

Interesting that a 26" tube can fit in a 29" rim. I wondered about that since I ride a 9er'B. I just assumed I should carry a 29" tube. Though I never get flats. I converted to tubeless a couple years ago and have only flatted once since making the switch. Sliced the sidewall on a new tire. I use tubeless ready tires, not UST tires.
