    2000 Schwinn Homegrown...

    Hey all,

Over the winter I built my old HG into a SS 650b, both front and rear. Unfortunately the (2) 26" suspension forks I have are not compatible with my 650b Neos. In order to ride the build this spring and summer I blopped a Surly 1x1 fork on the front.

Considering that it is now a rigid SS, I desire to get a front suspension fork. My conundrum is, I have a 29er wheel and the avenue to get a 29" sus fork. Is it possible to put the Reba RL on the front of the HGSS paired with a 29er wheel?

I am assuming that it will not change the geo too considering that there is a 650b rear wheel?!?! However I believe that toe lap may occur?!?!

    Any thoughts...

A 29er 100mm fork and wheel is roughly equivalent the same floor to crown height as a 150mm fork and a 26" wheel. And, as you say toe lap may be a problem.

Sorry, it's closer to a 140mm fork and it depends on the 26" tire size. Double check with AC figures on Rockshox site.

What is your bottom bracket height going to be?
