    $4000 - $6000 Trail /AM rig ?

So if you had the money - I know not everyone does or would spend it, but..., I'm looking for those that plan on spending, what would be on you short, or waiting for list?

In the market for a new one for the stable... Been saving the pennies for just such a time and that time is now. This 650b is very appealing, so I'm gonna buy, and buy once (well maybe not just one, but for now). Been looking into Ventana (Alpino or Zeus), and really liking them. Turner, GT, Rocky Mountain.... What say you and why?

Ibis HDR. Should be sitting on mine early August, can't wait!

Wasn't sure if this was on your radar but of not you should check it out.

Where/what kind of terrain do you ride? What characteristics are you looking for? Are you looking for something totally different than what you have had before? What is your riding style?Always interested in hearing the unique things that get people excited to ride. Maybe we can help steer you in the right direction after hearing your story.

This will be my first FS. Terrain is flow tracks, to climbs, to mid rock gardens / stumps. Riding style has been changed this year, I'm faster, and more aggressive, less brake, more rear slide.

Flux: if you want to go very aggressive I'd say Foes F-275. If you want something with most of the F-275s aggressive ability and some of the intended XC ability of the Flux try the Intense Tracer 275, thats what I'm riding.

Bronson if you want to have a Really capable trail bike that can handle AM riding really well.

Or my favorite, the new Kona Process if you want a really capable AM bike that can handle trail riding well. That is goning to be my next bike.

Pretty much anything available in that range is going to be absolutely excellent. It boils down to your own preferences, body type, riding style, etc. All of the above opinions are great options, but don't mean a thing if the bike doesn't 'click' for you, and there are many variables as to why one will or won't, of course.
    Demo early, and Demo often!

Where do you live, maybe the collective here can find you some 'local' demo opportunities.
There really is no other way.

Yeah definately find demos. I have to drive pretty far for demos but it will be worth it, not about to put that much money into something that doesnt "click" with me.

Wait for Transition to bring out 650b. The Carbon Covert is amazing and the Carbon Covert + 650b would be the bee's knees.

I recently ordered Ibis HDR (650b) XT; hasn't arrived yet (hopefully within next 7-10 days). I currently ride a hard-tail and STRONGLY considered ordering a Ventana as part of my search. Try to ride as many as you can as everyone's "feel" for what works is personal. Best wishes, happy trials.
