    Widest tires to replace 26x1.95??

I have an old Haro Impasse with 1.95s I was going to paint and use to go bowhunting. What are the widest tires that are fairly cheap I could replace these with?
    Thanks

Depends. You can buy 26" tires as wide as 5", but those obviously won't fit your bike. You're going to have to measure for fit. Disc or vee brakes? If vee brakes, that adds some hassle into pushing wider tires, as you've gotta get them past the brake pads before inflating.

Yeah I don't think that bike has much clearance, I think you'd have more frustration from trying to go wider than you'd gain in traction. I am basing this advice off of a google image search to see what an Impasse's chain/seat stays look like though, so the best way to be sure is to double check with a caliper and figure for some clearance leftover.

Sorry but I have to ask, if you get a kill, how do you get it back using a bike?
