    Marin quake 7.2??

So just picked up a Marin quake 7.2 quad xlt because it was very cheap.
I don't even know what type of bike it is, is it good for trails?

If the trails mostly go downhill, then yes.

I remember that bike from a few years back....definitely a downhill/freeride rig. You can certainly pedal it on any trail, and it does surprisingly well climbing....but you'll be putting in some effort (I think it weighs over 40lbs). What gears on it now?
