    Suntour XCM upgrade to lockout?

Is it possible to add a lockout to a current Suntour XCM fork?

Based on the parts listed here: https://www.srsuntour.com/collections/xcm-service-parts, it should be possible. I'd ask on that website to confirm. They are typically responsive. However, IMHO rather than spending more money on a low-end fork, they have an upgrade program where you can get a discount on a higher-end fork that will come with lockout.

Or spend $130-200 to get an air fork that has lockout. They are so cheap now, no need to even repair a coil fork like XCM, just upgrade for cheap and be done with it

It's just on a low end Diamondback I'm going to use as a commuter bike for the paved paths when i can't get out to the trails on my offroad bike. that I might occasionally climb a hill on and I already have the fork. this the current state,,, feathering out the original paint around the logo to try and save it before it gets a new paint job and clear coat, full shimano drivetrain replacement, race face stem and bar and unfortunately all new shimano v brakes, cables and levers,Suntour XCM upgrade to lockout?-20180408_130409.jpg
