    Mach 1 MX wheel set

This Mach 1 MX 26" wheel set with Shimano deore hubs seems like an incredible deal at $50. Does anyone know if these are crap or is this worth it for my old hard tail XC bike? I tend to use it only on tamer trails.

There are a couple reviews of them around the internet. Seems like they're not bad, especially for the price you pay.

Not super light but would be usable replacement wheels for an older bike.

If you're looking for rim brake replacement wheels, I'd get on ebay and look for something like these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/26-Shimano-...s/152782487329

Well shit, for that price you might as well check ebay for a deore/mavic combo.

Or for $20 more you can have XT hubs Sun Rhyno Lite + Shimano XT 6bolt Black

Right now I have mavic/deore, but they have to be like 10 years old. I got them used and haven't ridden them much, but I have busted a few spokes. I'm wondering if replacing them makes sense or if I should just keep replacing spokes. I bought a 36 pack of spokes for like 10 bucks so for now, that's what I'm doing.

How do I know when it's time to replace them? I mean like before they fold up like a Spanish taco.

Rhyno lites are supposed to be pretty bombproof.

Breaking spokes means the wheels aren't built properly. Maybe a shop could check them out and retension the spokes, check the dish and all that
